The quaint roads and small boutique wineries make Dry Creek the ideal destination for a bicycle excursion. Our tours to Dry Creek consist of 10-15 miles on bicycle with 4 winery visits. Dry Creek Valley AVA is located in Sonoma County, northwest of the town of Healdsburg.The valley is formed by Dry Creek, a tributary of the Russian River, and is approximately 16 miles long.There are over 50 wineries with residence in Dry Creek Valley AVA. The highest planted varietals are either Zinfandel or Cabernet Sauvignon. Sauvignon Blanc is the most largely planted white wine in the valley. The wineries we visit are much smaller than in neighboring appellations.
Our excursion to Napa takes all over the valley, Our tours average in length from avout 14-16 miles along Napa's valley floor. The ride is pretty flat and suitable for all levels of bicyclists. Our tour usually takes us through the Stag's Leap AVA, the Yountville are, the Oakville AVA, the Rutherford AVA and on up to St Helena. Almost 4.5 million people visit Napa Valley each year, making it a very popular destination in California, and "The World's Best Wine and Food Destination" as awarded by TripAdvisor's 2010 Travelers' Choice Awards
The Russian River Valley has a characteristically cool climate, heavily affected by fog generated by the valley's proximity to the Pacific Ocean. The area is known for its success with cool climate varietals, notably Pinot noir and Chardonnay. Our tours through the Russian River consist of ~10miles of biking through the rolling hills of the Russian River Valley and tasting the differences between the pinot noirs and chardonnays as they vary from one vineyard to the next.
Not only is San Francisco known for its rich wine culture, it is also famous for its BEER and breweries. SF is home to many fine breweries and gastropubs. On this 3-3.5 hour tour we show you some of SF’s best! Stopping at 3 different breweries/ beer halls along the way, we take you from SOMA, through to the mission district. From there we cycle on to the Haight Ashbury district and finish with a scenic ride along the embarcadero to AT&T Park. Tour departs at 2pm Monday- Friday.
