Weather
Tours operate rain or shine. In the instance of inclement weather, we advise guests to wear appropriate gear and bring a change of clothing. Gears and Grapes reserves the right to cancel trips as we see fit. We make every attempt to run tours as scheduled. If, however, due to extenuating circumstances a trip is cancelled we will make every effort to accommodate everyone’s rescheduling needs. If guests are not local and cannot reschedule, credits will be awarded towards a future Gears and Grapes tour.
Cancellation/Rescheduling
To Cancel a day trip and receive full credit or refund, guests must do so at least one week before their departure date. Cancellation or rescheduling between 7 days and 48 hours of a scheduled tour will result in a $40 rescheduling fee. Cancellation within 48 hours of your tour will result in forfeiture of any tour credit.
Standard Cancellation Terms and Optional Travel Protection
In the spirit of our ongoing commitment to ensuring your total comfort with every aspect of your travel experience, Gears and Grapes Getaways recommends travel protection in the event that you should need to cancel your Gears and Grapes Getaway or experience illness or an accident on-trip. Trip insurance is optional; however, we strongly recommend purchasing coverage.

Your Travel Insurance premium & coverage is based on your total trip price with Gears and Grapes Getaways, if you wish to add your airfare, rail or other travel related purchases, please advise your tour coordinator and we can increase your coverage.
Cancellations
Gears and Grapes Getaways strictly adheres to its cancellation policy and will make no exceptions to our policy. If for some unfortunate reason you have to cancel your Gears and Grapes Getaway, our policy is straightforward. Your trip price includes anything purchased from Gears and Grapes Getaways directly as part of your tour as well as any pre/post trip arrangements, airfare, rail tickets and/or single supplements. Insurance is non-refundable.

- Gears and Grapes Getaways is not responsible for expenses incurred in preparation for any canceled trips, such as airline tickets. We recommend confirming your trip before making final arrangements that might be non-refundable.
- Gears and Grapes Getaways reserves the right to make date, route and hotel modifications as needed.
- Gears and Grapes Getaways reserves the right to cancel any trip at any time for any reason. On the rare occasions when this might happen, all payments received to date will be refunded, which constitutes full settlement.
- Guests who fail to provide signed Release of Liability and Assumption of All Risks and personal information forms prior to trip departure will not be allowed to join the trip and the cancellation policy applies.
In sending in a deposit toward your trip, you certify that you do not have any physical conditions or disabilities that would create a hazard for you or other travelers.
Prices, Reservations and PaymentPrices
Our prices are in U.S. Dollars and are based on double occupancy of hotel rooms. We charge a single supplement to individual travelers who wish to ensure that they have private rooms throughout a trip.
Eligibility, We require that travelers be at least 21 years of age (at time of travel) on all trips.
Preparing for Your Trip
Our trips entail both risks—and rewards—beyond those experienced in the comforts of your home. We count on our travelers to ensure they are healthy and fit; to read our pre-trip materials about clothing, training and medical requirements.
Switching Trips
If space is available, we can transfer your deposit to another tour, providing you contact us with enough advance notice.
Changes
Due to circumstances beyond our control, Gears and Grapes Getaways may have to make partial changes to the stated itinerary. We do our utmost to keep changes to a minimum, and our high quality is always maintained. We reserve the right to cancel any tour that does not reach the minimum level of participants. In the rare event that a tour be canceled, you will receive a full refund. Gears and Grapes Getaways will not reimburse for any personal expenses due to changes in itineraries or tour cancellations, such as prepaid hotel expenses or airline tickets. Gears and Grapes Getaways reserves the right to decline a reservation or to refuse service during a tour to anyone whose health or behavior could impede the welfare or enjoyment of themselves as well as fellow guests.
Group Travel
Travel within a group involves a compromise to accommodate diverse desires, travel goals, personalities, and physical abilities of all group members. Gears and Grapes Getaways guides may be required to improvise and exercise good faith, use discretion and/or make decisions based upon group consensus. These decisions may not always please each individual, but are intended to satisfy the larger desires of the group.
Limitation of Liability
Gears and Grapes Getaways is not liable for bodily injury or property damage as a result of (but not limited to): physical exertion for which a guest is not prepared; forces of nature; travel by plane, train, auto, boat, or other conveyance, or by bicycle, foot, or other form of active or adventure travel; consumption of alcoholic beverages; civil unrest; breakdown of equipment. Gears and Grapes Getaways is also not liable for: expenses (e.g., meals, transportation, or hotel costs) that are not specified as included in the trip cost but may be required to get to or from a trip start or end. Gears and Grapes Getaways reserves the right to make route and hotel modifications as necessary to improve the quality of a trip or to accommodate the comfort and well-being of guests. Guests grant Gears and Grapes Getaways, Inc. express permission to take photographs or film records of its trips for promotional and commercial use, without remuneration.
External Travel Services
Gears and Grapes Getaways may recommend the services of external travel companies or other support services in response to requests made by travelers for services outside of the scope of Gears and Grapes Getaways. Although we endeavor to recommend only companies that provide the highest levels of service and work closely with them to try to obtain special treatment for Gears and Grapes Getaways travelers, we do not guarantee services provided by third parties.
